Lydia Dorrance to Moderate at ABA Joint CLE Seminar
Thursday, January 10 – Saturday, January 12 The American Bar Association (ABA) is hosting the 2019 Environmental & Energy, Mass Torts, and Products Liability Committees’ Joint CLE Seminar in Laguna Beach, California. This CLE program brings well-respected in-house counsel, experts, government employees, members of the judiciary, plaintiffs, and defense counsel from across the U.S.
On Saturday, January 12, Roux’s Lydia Dorrance, Ph.D., Senior Scientist of our Oakland, California office, will be moderating a panel entitled “The Triple Threat Emerging Contaminant: An Examination of PFAS in Products Liability, Environmental Cleanup, and Toxic Torts.” Panelists will provide an update on the ubiquitous emerging chemicals known as perfluoroalkyl/polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) by discussing cutting-edge PFAS toxicology and forensic chemistry; analyzing the legal landscape for clients that made or used PFAS products; and considering actions to avoid potentially significant products, environmental, and toxic tort liabilities.
