Most environmental professionals have encountered modeling at some time in their careers. But do we really understand the math behind the model, and the sensitivity and limitations of modeling results? Models are commonly used as useful tools to evaluate and understand environmental data trends, to evaluate scenarios, and to make informed predictions. However, they can be complex, costly to create, and are often misunderstood and misused.
In this webinar, we will discuss the various types of models you are likely to encounter as an environmental professional in various contexts. We will explain how they are created, how they are used, when they are appropriate—and when they are not. Additionally, this webinar will discuss costs and levels of difficulty to create a spectrum of models, and inherent uncertainties in the model results.
