Greg Gaines Joins Roux To Lead New Third-Party Claims Administration Services

Roux is pleased to announce that Gregory P. Gaines, JD has joined the firm as a Director for insurance and litigation claims services. Greg brings nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance industry as an in-house counsel, claims manager, and outside technical consultant for commercial insurance coverage and insurance defense liability matters. Mr. Gaines’s work has historically focused on claims and coverage disputes involving mass tort and environmental remediation litigation. Greg joins Roux to spearhead the expansion of the firm’s existing insurance service offerings into the areas of Claims Management and Litigation Data Solutions.

For more than 40 years, Roux has provided consulting support to help clients understand and manage both legacy and emerging environmental and product liability risks. Roux’s diverse team of professionals specialize in areas of environmental engineering services, claims analysis, human health risk assessment, economic damage estimation, and expert testimony for litigation. By joining Roux, Greg Gaines will help bridge the firm’s existing technical expertise with claims administration services that will help our clients manage an increasingly expensive and complex litigation and regulatory landscape.

Greg’s third-party claim administration work at Roux will include cradle-to-grave claim handling services, as well as quality control and reserve reviews of existing claim administrators. Other services Greg will provide include:

• Litigation management and settlement valuation support services for both insurance defense liability and commercial insurance coverage disputes.
• Expert testimony focusing on proper claim handling protocol, as well as insurance defense liability and commercial insurance or reinsurance coverage issues.
• Claim audits to qualitatively evaluate and objectively quantify defense and indemnity leakage in underlying liability matters. Audits will also be offered to support declaratory judgment actions and reinsurance arbitrations involving commercial insurance coverage and reinsurance collection disputes.
• Reasonable and necessary legal invoice reviews for insurance defense litigation.
