Ryan Stifter, MS to Present in ABA’s Joint Regional CLE Program
Wednesday, January 31 – Friday, February 2 Roux will be a sponsor of the 2024 Environmental & Energy, Mass Torts, and Products Liability Litigation Committees’ Joint Regional CLE Program. This event is a multi-day Regional CLE, presented by the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Litigation Section Products Liability, Mass Torts, and Environmental and Energy Litigation Committees. This program will feature eight plenary presentations on hot litigation topics, including committee-specific content, broader litigation interests, and ethics.
The ABA will seek 9.25 hours of CLE credit in 60-minute states, and 11.1 hours of CLE credit for this program in 50-minute states (including 1.0 hour of Ethics CLE in 60-minute states and 1.2 hours of Ethics CLE in 50-minute states).
On Friday, February 2, Roux’s Ryan Stifter, MS will present during a plenary session entitled “PFAS: Everything Everywhere All at Once” at 10:30 am. This panel will discuss the current state of PFAS litigation, including allegations of environmental contamination and personal injuries, and claims related to AFFF and consumer products. Panelists will also discuss damages, pending settlements, industry response, and the implications of the impending designation of certain PFAS as “hazardous substances” under CERCLA. Learn about how the many state laws that are in effect, or soon-to-be in effect, are regulating or limiting certain PFAS chemicals in consumer products.
