Natalie Fox to Present at Safety Leadership Conference
Monday, August 26 – Wednesday, August 28 EHS Today‘s 13th Annual Safety Leadership Conference in Denver, Colorado is designed to share best practices with companies working to achieve world-class safety. This year’s theme is Safety First, Leadership Always: Bridging the Gap. Attendees will hear from industry experts and some of America’s Safest Companies, who will offer insights into how to develop and sustain a safety culture.
On Tuesday, August 27, Roux’s Natalie Fox, CIH, CSP will present in a session entitled “The Double-Edged Sword of Employee Safety and Health Training” alongside John Ho of Cozen O’Connor. Providing safety and health training to employees is obviously an important tool to creating and maintaining a safe work environment. However, there are also potential downsides to training that businesses need to understand so they can avoid liability associated with providing safety and health training. This presentation will explore common mistakes made, including pitfalls of generic training, failure to include appropriate personnel, inconsistent documentation, and “quick orientation” training for new employees.
