representative projects
  • Conducted technical evaluations for a named PRP in support of the allocation process for the Portland Harbor Superfund Site. Evaluated historical site operations, previous investigation and response actions, assertions made by other PRPs, and potential contribution. Developed potential allocation model for past and future response costs.
  • Provided technical support in ongoing case related to environmental damages arising from a former dry cleaning operation in the San Francisco Bay area. Evaluated investigation and remedial actions conducted to date, proposed site conceptual model, and identified investigative data gaps, including potential additional off-site source contributions.
  • Provided technical and claims analysis in support of expert opinion as part of a bad faith lawsuit between insurance carrier and insured for a large, complex former military site in California. Evaluated adequacy of claims submittals and reasonableness of environmental costs.
  • Prepared a technical report for insurance carriers with potential liability at multiple sites near the Passaic River Superfund Site in New Jersey. Report provided the carriers with a historical overview of the Superfund Site and major upland sources, status of environmental assessment and cleanup of the river and major upland sources, and a matrix of PRPs identified by the USEPA and lawsuits filed by other named PRPs to help them understand their potential exposures.
