Roux Illinois began in 1999, making it one of our longest standing offices, with several Principals who remain integral members of our firm today. Since its inception, our Midwest office has serviced several of Roux’s core practice areas including the Real Estate, Industrial, Engineering & Remediation, Litigation, Insurance, and Public sectors. More recently, we have expanded into providing Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance and Human Health Risk Assessment services.
Today, our Oak Brook office employs around twenty-five people, with additional employees working out of our Chicago satellite office, established in 2021. To learn more about some of our key members in Illinois, continue reading below.
Michael J. Hillebrenner, PE is a licensed Professional Engineer in several states with over twenty years of experience in civil and environmental engineering. Mr. Hillebrenner is currently a VP of Operations and the Operations Manager for Roux’s Oak Brook and Chicago, Illinois offices. As the VP of Operations, Mr. Hillebrenner is a key part of Roux’s corporate leadership team providing support throughout the organization. He has designed, managed and overseen projects throughout the United States for clients in our Real Estate, Industrial, and Public sectors. Mr. Hillebrenner’s environmental engineering and consulting experience spans a wide range of project types including site assessment, large-scale remediation, environmental compliance, water resources, regulatory reporting, and site closure. He has successfully led multi-million dollar engineering, remediation, and redevelopment projects for numerous clients involving a variety of complex environmental issues.
Natalie Fox, CIH, CSP is an environmental, health, and safety professional with over twenty-five years of experience. She has broad EHS experience, including developing and implementing compliance programs and corporate level standards; conducting EHS risk assessments and compliance audits; managing EHS compliance audit programs; conducting and managing industrial hygiene assessments; assisting clients with responses to regulatory agencies; and developing and implementing management systems. Ms. Fox’s areas of expertise include assisting clients to assess EHS risks and developing practical and sustainable control solutions to eliminate or minimize these risks.
Dr. Mir SeyedAbbasi, PE is a Technical Director with over fifteen years of experience in soil and groundwater investigations, remediation, environmental fate and transport modeling, academic research, and environmental consulting. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois and Texas. He has experience in developing, troubleshooting, and reviewing flow and transport models and has worked on modeling projects spanning a wide range of spatial and temporal scales, complex geological settings, and challenging numerical conditions. His modeling expertise also includes multi-phase, multi‐component modeling capabilities by using widely tested and successfully applied programs for reactive transport simulations. Dr. SeyedAbbasi has extensive experience with conducting air quality modeling studies in support of a variety of regulatory and permitting projects across all industry sectors. Dr. SeyedAbbasi has experience in environmental litigation support, including roles as consulting the testifying experts for numerous cases.
