Monday, March 24 – Thursday, March 27 The Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA) is a local agency certified by CalEPA to implement and enforce six state hazardous waste and hazardous materials regulatory management programs. Their 27th California Unified Program Annual Training Conference takes place in Anaheim, California.
On Thursday, March 27, Roux’s Jon Rohrer, PG, CHg will present on a session entitled Emerging Contaminants alongside Cheryl Prowell of the DTSC and Tamarin Austin of Clean Water Advisors, Inc. The objective of this session is to gain knowledge and comprehension of new emerging contaminants, risks posed, and regulatory strategies to address them. This panel discussion looks beyond PFAS at some other emerging contaminants, the risks they pose, and legal and regulatory developments to address them. Contaminants discussed will include ethylene oxide, microplastics, 6PPD, endocrine disruptors, and more.
