CSR Update: May 2022
TD Five Boro Bike Tour
An annual tradition for the New York office, the TD Five Boro Bike Tour, took place on May first this year. It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday—perfect weather, plus raising money for a great cause! Team Irene enjoyed every one of those 40 miles, riding as part of the 32,000 participating cyclists though all five boroughs in New York City.
We’re proud to have raised over $22,000 for the American Cancer Society from this year’s Bike Tour! The American Cancer Society offers programs and services to help individuals during and after cancer treatment, providing lodging, rides, and numerous resources.
Southampton Village PBA – Cornhole Tournament
In mid-May on Long Island, we sponsored and attended the Southampton Village PBA Cornhole Tournament. It was a great opportunity to meet with folks from the Village and discuss our local projects, such as Lake Agawam in Southampton.
This event raised over $12,000 for the Flying Point Foundation for Autism and less fortunate families in the community. The Flying Point Foundation for Autism, a 501(c)3 non-profit, offers an eight-day summer camp for children with autism alongside their siblings and peers, as well as social and recreational events, scholarships, and teaching grants. Recognizing the limited opportunities for organized activities geared toward individuals with autism, the Foundation’s main focus is to provide programs that meet this need on the East End of Long Island.
