NEGSA Northeastern Section Meeting 2024
Sunday, March 17-Tuesday, March 19 The 59th Annual Meeting of the Northeastern Section of the National Geological Society of America (NEGSA) is taking place in Manchester, New Hampshire, home to the oldest rocks in the region.
This meeting features Roux’s Sara Barrientos (Project Geologist) and Andrew Shapero, MPH, PE (Senior Engineer I) of our Burlington, Massachusetts office, as session chairs for a technical session on Emerging Contaminant Science, further outlined below.

Human health risk assessment for PFAS and emerging contaminants relies on the best available science to support decision making. This session welcomes abstracts on PFAS and emerging contaminant risk assessment, fate and transport, food web transfer, site investigation and remediation, occurrence, regulatory compliance, product testing, air pollution, and litigation.
