Major Developer; California
Roux assisted with the development of a 7-acre property in the city of Anaheim, CA. Roux was hired as the environmental consultant to assess four former mixed commercial/industrial parcels to be entitled for residential development. While working under a voluntary cleanup agreement under the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), Roux performed several investigations at all four parcels to test soil, soil vapor, and groundwater.
Roux then created a Remedial Action Workplan (RAW) that proposed a vapor barrier system under each building. The system will include a membrane under the buildings with a ventilation system to divert and mitigate any volatile organic compounds away from the buildings and eliminate risk. The draft RAW was submitted to and approved by the DTSC. Final approval will allow the developer to move forward with construction of the Site. The property is centrally located in Orange County near the Disneyland Resort.
