City of Chicago; Illinois
Roux provides a comprehensive set of environmental services, many of which we perform daily for the City of Chicago. Roux has been retained to perform environmental assessment services on over one hundred different properties through an on-call task order that was awarded to Roux in 2022 through the Master Task Order Contract for Professional Environmental Assessment, Engineering, and Ecological Services Contract.
Roux’s Program Management support to the City of Chicago under the on-call task order has resulted in work on a variety of important development projects including affordable housing (multi-family and single-family), parks and public outdoor open spaces, former Chicago Stock Yard sites, former motels, a former lead reclamation facility, a new community center, and the redevelopment of the historic Ton Farm, along with other surrounding properties. In addition to working directly with the City of Chicago’s Department of Assets, Information, and Services (AIS), we have worked on and coordinated with the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH), the City of Chicago Department of Planning and Development (DPD), project developers, consultants, and other key stakeholders. Roux’s commitment to utilize Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) teaming partners as part of this work has been a successful part of each project. Roux’s experience working with both the public and private sectors has assisted with the site assessment, site remediation/closure, and recommendations for next steps to move these projects to completion.
