Ecological Remedial Investigation

Roux performed an ecological evaluation for a former manufacturing facility in southern New Jersey that had been investigated and remediated since the late 1980s. Roux identified a forested wetland area adjacent to the facility used for the historic disposal of manufacturing by-products containing elevated lead concentrations. Working with the State and responsible party, Roux developed a sediment sampling plan to evaluate the bioavailability of lead impacts within the wetland and determine the extent of the impacts. Future investigations will be completed to evaluate the risk to wildlife potentially occupying the wetlands and evaluate potential remediation options.
