Sediment and Surface Water Sampling

Roux performed sediment and surface water sampling to support ecological risk assessment (ERA) of a high-quality water body in central New Jersey. The sediment and surface water data were incorporated into the ERA and used to support the remediation design. Roux was able to successfully demonstrate that ecological risk was minimal in the surface water body and the remediation design was limited to very localized sediment removal adjacent to the bank—a significant cost savings compared to the larger-scale sediment remediation envisioned by the regulatory agency.
